BioThe purpose of this blog is to update friends and family on my life. I also post news that interests me and sometimes pull out the soapbox, but the odds of a total stranger finding it interesting are small.

I grew up in northern Virginia, got my undergrad degree in Biology from McGill University (Montreal, Canada), spent a year or so as an SCA intern with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Warm Springs, Georgia, and am now in Gainesville, FL as a Master's student in the Entomology department at UF.
